At DR3 Consulting, our mission is to save lives through disaster risk management by providing smart, efficient and integrated software solutions.
Our Story
In the year 2,000 our team answered the challenge to develop software to modernize and automate the gathering, verification, analysis, storage and distribution of emergency management information for Guatemala's Disaster Reduction Agency, CONRED (Coordinadora Nacional para la Reducción de Desastres by its acronym is Spanish).

The result was SISMICEDE (Information Management System in Case of Emergency or Disaster by its acronym in Spanish) which is still in use today.

SISMIGIR (Information Management System for Disaster Risk Management by its acronym in Spanish) is the result of over 20 years of experience in the development of Disaster Risk Management software.
Our team has over 30 years of experience in disaster risk management, emergency response and humanitarian assistance. Our team leader, Alejandro Maldonado Lutomirsky is an engineer who served for over 12 years as Executive Secretary of CONRED, Guatemala’s official government institution in charge of disaster risk reduction. He has also been pro-tempore President of CEPREDENAC, the Coordination Center for the Prevention of Disasters in Central America and the Dominican Republic, which is a regional intergovernmental body belonging to the Central American Integration System SICA as a Specialized Secretariat. He has been directly involved in coordinating the response and/or humanitarian assistance missions for many large scale disasters including earthquakes, floods, landslides and forest fires in Guatemala, Central America, the Caribbean and Asia.
